He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Bichel and Nina Bichel (Venners); his sons, Richard Bichel (Jean) of Cannon Falls, MN and Ronald Bichel (Kathy) of Algoma, IA.; his wife Karon Nelson; and his stepchildren, Michele Nordeen (Doug) of Dundas, MN and Brian Hemp (Michelle) of La Crosse. He was also cherished by several step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
