He was predeceased by: his parents, Johanna Horstmann and Harry W. Horstmann; his spouse Elverna Stanhope (Ellie); and his brothers, Burdette Horstman and Robert Horstman.

He is survived by: his children, Johanna Pralle (Jeffery), Debra Stanhope (Paul), Connie Horstmann and Scott Horstmann (Sandy); his grandchildren, Maria Johnson (Phillip), Elizabeth Bruring (Dallas), Caleb Pralle (Bethany Kauer), Joshua Pralle and Andrew Pralle; his stepgrandchildren, Melissa Viner, Shawn Viner, Myron Hole and Carl Hole; and his brother Donald Horstmann (Marlene). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; 7 great step grandchildren.

Due to COVID19 concerns a private service will be held for immediate family on December 12, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, WELS Missions, or Luther High School.
