He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Borreson and Marie Borreson (Bonsack); and his sister Carla Bursell. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Schubert; his children, Kimberly and Keith (Brooke); his grandsons, Ethan and Noah of Grand Rapids, MI; his brothers, David Ankeny (Kay) and Jerry La Crosse (Sandra); and his brother-in-law Lowell Bursell of Mpls, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
