He is survived by: his children, Joe Phelps, Tom Phelps (Gina) and Holly Berger (John); his grandchildren, Ethan, Arlo, Finn Phelps, Jayden Gilman, Leo and Will Berger; his sisters, Karen Kleven, Maureen Slane of Florida, Anita Crandall (Mike) and Sue Snyder (Bill) of LaCrosse; his friends, Sue Thurston and Rhonda Hesselberg; and his pet Abbey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
