He was predeceased by: his parents, John Staats and Florence Staats (Gullikson); and his son-in-law John Clark of Castle Rock, CO.. He is survived by: his wife Margot Johnson; his daughters, Sarah Staats of Onalaska, Jennifer Waters (Dan) of Onalaska and Amy Clark of Onalaska; his grandchildren, Emily Everson of Onalaska, Alec Everson (Alyssa) of Holmen, Peyton Waters of Onalaska and Zach Waters (Julie) of Holmen; and his siblings, James Staats (Judith) of Onalaska, Steve Staats of La Crosse and Jane Kramer (Anthony) of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
