It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Caroline Shanley of Onalaska, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Woefel and Florence Woefel (Owen); her stepfather Karl Rossing; and her siblings, Donald Woefel, Beverley Stone (Woefel), John Woefel and Joseph Woefel (Joey).
She is survived by: her husband John Shanley; her sons, John Shanley Jr. (Vicky) of Onalaska, WI. and Brian Shanley (Victoria) of Onalaska, WI.; her grandchildren, Cade, Dylan, Egan and Peyton; her sister Sharon Wilke (Woefel) of Reedsburg, WI.; her mother-in-law Betty Shanley Butterfield of La Crosse; her siblings-in-law, Sue Rieland (Patrick) of Onalaska, Paul Shanley (Maribeth) and Mark Shanley (Amy); and her friend Kathleen Stokes-Sagler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Children's Miracle Network or The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
