He was predeceased by: his father Everett Aspenson; and his former wife Beth. He is survived by: his mother Charmaine Aspenson (Goettel); his wife Bethany Higdon; his children, Aimee Glaser (Tyler) of Wausau, WI, Adam Aspenson (Melissa) of Onalaska and Emily Aspenson of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Madeline, Elias, Stella Glaser, Kalli, Lilly and Chloe Aspenson; his brother Dave Aspenson; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Jeffers (Mike), Jan Liles (Larry), Sara Gorniak (Mike) and Sue Higdon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
