DelRoy left this world on August 11, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Elston and Irene Elston; his parents-in-law, Ruth and Rodney; his brothers, Doyle (Dana) and Danny; and his nephews, Jason Lee and TImothy Hames.
He is survived by: his wife Veda Ann VandenBerg; his children, Amy Elston of Pardeeville, WI, Dory Elston of La Crosse, WI and Beau Elston (Summer) of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Carter Jenatscheck (Kailey), Lydia Jenatscheck, Cooper Jenatscheck, Peyton Schmit (Ben), Zach Mensink (Hannah), Mason Elston, Preston Elston and Delaney Elston; his sister Damaras Hopfenspirger; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Fox, Lorna Elliason (Jay) and Wayne VandenBerg.
DelRoy has donated his body to Mayo Clinic for research purposes and will be laid to rest in Fairlawn Cemetery in Aurora, South Dakota.
