He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Smith and Esther Smith (Engaas); his former wife Ramona Haugen; his wife Carole Dickson; his children, Cindy Finley (Jim) of Hopkinsville, KY, Torey Smith (Laurie) of Brice Prairie and Steve Smith (Tracy) of Onalaska; his stepchildren, Shari Erdmann (Waylon) of Nodine, MN, John Hill (Shirley) of Dakota, MN and Dave Hill of Wabasha, MN; his stepson-in-law Don Weber of Onalaska; and his siblings, Betty Bruring (Don) and Ken Smith (Mae). He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
