He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin E. Smith and Ardith J. Smith; his brothers, Cary Smith and Aaron Smith; his brother-in-law Terry Smith; and his great grandchild Alma Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Lil Smith (Wittig); and his grandchildren, Angela Luoma (Brett), AriAnna Jo (Peter), Sean Smith (Tammy), Spencer, Tiffany, Brady, Robert, Michelle Hadley (Mark), Mark Jr. (Sadie), Monty, Mercedez, Kelvin Smith (Kerrie), Aurora, Jonathan Smith (Andie), Lincoln, Alexandra and Cameron. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
