She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Johnson and Georgina Johnson (Larson); her husband James M. Callan, Jr.; her children, Debi Erickson and Matthew; and her siblings, Robert Johnson and Marian Johnson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Belgian, Badgers, Cubs and Brewers; her brother Phase; her children, Michael (Karen), Douglas (Marsha), Paul (Kathy) and Cathy Allison (Mike); her son-in-law Terry Erickson; her daughter Brenda Mendell (Paul); her grandchildren, Michael Wallen (Traci), Heidi Austreng (Chad), Ryan Callan (Autumn), Heather Smith (Josh Dedie), Justin Callan (Christina), Kelly Callan, Erin Callan, Brandon Erickson (Christina), Amber McNeely (Nicholas), Melissa Gabrielson (Scott), Joshua Erickson (Lynn), Alia Allison (Ryan Kulig) and Patrick Callan; and her siblings, Shirley Pishaw, Dee Simmons of Washington, Charles Johnson, Jerry Johnson (Diane), Duane Johnson (Beth) and George Johnson (Pack) of Illinois. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
Betty was born at the beginning of the Great Depression and died during pandemic but she would want you to know that the years between were full of the Sweetest of Love and the Joy of Life.
