He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Carpenter and Dorothy Bishop Carpenter; and his sisters, Jean Fairbanks and Enid Sailer. He is survived by: his wife Susan Miller; his children, William Carpenter, Dale Carpenter (Michelle), Edward Carpenter and Tammy Retzlaff (Dennis); his grandchildren, Emily, Derek, Cody, Jared, April and Anthony; and his sisters, Lois Dobson and Doris Koepke. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
