He is survived by: his wife Gwen Brennand; his son Nicholas Bartels (Cheryl) of McFarland; his grandchildren, Avery and Hattie Bartels; and his siblings-in-law, Lester Brennand of Larson, Berniel Tritt of Neenah and Catherine DeWitt (Francis Sauer) of Ocoee, Florida..
