She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wirch and Matilda Weiss Wirch; and her husband Duane "Dewey" Ralph Borst. She is survived by: her siblings, Louie, Minnie, Freddy, Wally, Lilian, Oneda and Harold; her children, Bill Borst (Friede), Nancy Borst and Judy Borst Lenneman (Pete); her grandchildren, Laura Borst Pappas (Tim), Kelly Borst Ringler (James), Alex Lenneman and Clay Lenneman (Kelsea); and her great grandchildren, Miles, Max Pappas and Oscar Ringler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ellie may be made to the Center for Volunteer Caregiving, the Samaritan's Purse or Operation Blessing.
