She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Sorenson and Anna Sorenson (Puhl); her husband Alan Kangas; and her siblings, Donald Sorenson (Diane), Dolores Gormley (James), Sandra Sorenson, William Sorenson (Kathie) and Sue Ann Sorenson.
She is survived by: her children, Kurt Kangas, Kirk "Tony" Kangas (Petra Dunn), Kent Van Buren (Megan) and Kaye Kangas (Wendy); her grandchildren, Hailee and Jordan Saunders; and her brother James Sorenson (Suzanne). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
