It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elsie L. Hawkins of Ogema, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Krepel and Agnes Krepel; her husband Richard Hawkins; and her siblings, Mary Stockwell, Leo and Alfred Krepel.
She is survived by: her children, Richard of McHenry, IL, Cathy Withrow (Larry) of Spring Grove, IL, Daniel of Sun City, AZ, Delta of Kenosha, WI, Bret (Amy) of Prentice, WI, Marilee Wise of Advance, MO, Melonie Smid (Mark) of Wonder Lake, IL, John (Fabiana) of Ogema, WI, Robin Scott of Ogema, WI, Kevin (Jamie) of Ogema, WI, Christina Hallstrand (Kurt) of Prentice, WI, Lisa Hawkins (Doug Fonte) of Twin Lakes, WI and LuAnn Winter (Mark) of Medford, WI; and her sister Martha of Federal Way, WA.. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the McHenry County Memorial Park (11301 Lake Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098).
