He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Vandervest and Norma Vandervest (Gilbert). He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Tammy Fraley (Nathan), Lynn Drafz (Doug Gronski) and Gary R. Vandervest II (Leda); his stepson Randy Hill (Kim); his siblings, Beverly Everson, Lynne Sutton, Debbie Brunnette (Kelvin), Joe Thompson (Tammy), Bruce Thompson and David Vandervest; and his stepson William Hill. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren.
