He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Mauel (Mares) and Orlando Mauel; and his siblings, Robert, Marvin, Mary Ann, Phyllis, Margie Payleitner (Kenneth) and Ginny Mills (Jerry).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mauel; his children, Valerie Mullins (Steven), Stephen Mauel and David Mauel; his sister Eleanor Christofferson (Larry); his sister-in-law Ruth Mauel (Robert); his daughter-in-law Rebekka Olsen; his grandchildren, Grace Mullins, Jessica Mullins and Daniel Mauel; and his nieces and nephews, Elliott, Cale, Andy, Adam, Gabrielle Mauel, Casey, Kevin, Scott, Martin, Fritz Christofferson, Connie Senz, Tisha Rollette, Mathew, Michael, Tim Mills, Monica Barrie, Amy Spangler, Mark and Jay.
