He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia; and his daughters, Sherry and Sally. He is survived by: his nephews, Terry Treuden (Dorothy) and David Farrand (Linda); his niece Susan Lawrenz (David); and his granddaughter Mary Girty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa are appreciated.
