He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Herbert and Dorothy Herbert (Kohl). He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Thomas (Karla), Susanne (Brent), Timothy (Christine) and Christine (Matthew); his grandchildren, John, Lauren, Matthew, Michael and Ian; and his sister Susan.
