She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Whelan and Ellen Whelan (O'Keane); her husband Kenneth Young; her daughter Katie Brockman; her grandson Jerrad Hekkers; and her siblings, Margaret Kellogg, John Whelan, James Whelan, Joan Whelan, Cecilia Risch, Patricia Timmel and Rosemary Tittelfitz.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Young (Sylvia), Kevin Young (Mary), Mary Hekkers (Jeff), Patty Smith (Dan) and Margaret Desch (Greg); her grandchildren, Jill Bartell (Adam), Nicole Panosh, Megan Young, Shea Fahl (Jordan), Molly Young, Ian Hekkers, Kelsey Young-Kottwitz (Doug), Andrew Smith, Theodore Desch, Keane Smith, Elizabeth Desch, Sarah Desch, Kayla Young and Hannah Young; her great grandchildren, Cecily Panosh, Simon Bartell, Harriet Bartell, Norah Fahl, Lila Fahl and Amelia Fahl; and her sister Florence Beach (Howard). She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
