Kevin J. Watterson Obituary
Kevin J. Watterson, 60, passed away Thursday, March 7th, 2024, after a fourteen-month battle with cancer. Born June 23, 1963, in Oconomowoc, the youngest of five children. Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance.
As a father, he nurtured his twins, Katie and Kody with unwavering love, support and encouragement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund F. "Waddy" and Virginia M. "Ginny" Watterson, his brother Gary Watterson, and his sister Sherry (Roger) McCamley. Kevin is survived by children Katie and Kody, sisters Karren (Gary) Richmond and Roxane (Ron) Wegner, brother-in-law Roger and sister-in-law Caryl, special friend Kim, and many nieces and nephews.
He spent his entire life living in Oconomowoc where he shared his love of the outdoors fishing, hunting and enjoying the lakes and wilderness surrounding Oconomowoc. He was an accomplished carpenter that shared his skills willingly with his family and friends to make their dreams into reality. He loved his gardens and spent countless hours in his yard beautifying the neighborhood and was always happy to share a conversation with everyone.
Kevin's legacy will forever echo through the woods and waters of Oconomowoc, with every sight of a deer which he so admired and the dahlias and many flowers that beautified his yard, and the warmth of cherished memories. May he rest in peace. The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to the Oncology team at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and the Hospice team at ProHealth Care.
Services to be held on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Oconomowoc. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30, service to follow immediately. Burial to follow at Saint Jerome's Cemetery, Oconomowoc.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
