He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dahm and Gaynell Dahm; his sister Dale; his brother-in-law John Peal; his nephew Jeff Peal; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey and Rev. David Kiecker.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughters, Julie Korte (Matt), Janel Dahm and Jolene Payne (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Taylor Kirkegaard (Tyler), Emma Korte, Grant Korte, Forrest Tegtmeier, Van Tegtmeier (Zoie Pearson), Sommer Tegtmeier, Isabella Tegtmeier, Ava Payne and Elly Payne; and his great grandchild Evelyn Kirkegaard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
