He is survived by: his wife Jean (Doyle); his children, Audrey Roach (Brian) and Patrick Hale (Christine Hou); his grandchildren, Evelyn, Lia and Nathan Roach; his sisters, Thellis Winder (Jack), Bonnie Hale and Judy Wyman (Craig); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Hale, June Doyle, Mary Graber (Ted) and John Doyle (Deb). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

“I knew John professionally and that relationship grew into a personal friendship. John and I golfed together over the last ten years and after I retired in a foursome with two of John’s friends, Brian Lubnow and Ed Zyga. We all enjoyed the times we played together and were looking forward to this upcoming year. John was truly a gentleman and I will miss him. My most sincere condolences to Jean and his family. I’m sorry I will miss the funeral but I’m leaving for Florida tomorrow.”
