He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Howden and Sarah Howden; his sister-in-law Judy Rhodee; his brothers, Edward (Lila), Walter (Alvina) and Ralph (Myrtle); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Rhodee. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations to: American Legion Post 91, VFW Post 2260 or the VA Hospital in James' name appreciated.
