He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius and Mary; his in-laws, Joseph and Martha Reuter; and his brother John Barany.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his daughters, Heidi Wolff, Jenny Poiset (Mitch), Amy Barany and Rebecca Veum (Peter); his grandchildren, Spencer Poiset (Christa), Sarah Poiset, Bennett Poiset (Marisa Mathias), Michael Wolff, Bradley Wolff, Carly Wolff, Megan Veum and Lauren Veum; and his brother Richard Barany (Linda) of Texas.

A Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church (W314 N7462 WI-83, Hartland, WI 53029). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chenequa Country Club (6250 WI-83, Hartland, WI 53029).
