Florence Konkel Obituary

Florence "Annie" Konkel, 97, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Shorehaven Assisted Living in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Annie was born April 28, 1927 in Milwaukee to Frank and Sidonia (Wortz) Stachowiak. She was united in marriage to Allan Konkel on September 23, 1950 in Milwaukee. He passed away in 2000. Annie served as the sales manager at Joe Wilde Company in New Berlin for 47 years. She was a longtime Palmyra resident and a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Palmyra.

Annie is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and many life-long friends from Palmyra. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Al and her siblings, Mary Jane Krueger and Donald Stachowiak.

Annie and Al enjoyed a full and active life, especially their home on Blue Spring Lake, their weekend pleasure trips, and their frequent vacations with their extended family in Tomahawk.

Annie celebrated life in the many parties she hosted for her family and friends. She will be forever remembered for her generosity and for the many causes that she humbly supported. Throughout her life, especially in the challenges of her later years, her deeply rooted faith was the hallmark of her acceptance of whatever circumstances life presented.

Annie—Aunt Flo—left an indelible legacy of love and joy in everyone who was blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Church 919 W. Main St. Palmyra from 11am until time of service at 12pm.
