He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmer Ranta and Lempi Ranta; and his wife Barbara Landon. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Ranta, Mike Ranta (Kelly) and Lori Johnson (Darren); his grandchildren, Nicole McGonigle (Matt), Kevin Birr (Kelly), Emma Johnson, Travis Ranta (Nikki), Race Ranta and Jared Wright; and his great grandchildren, Trey, Conor, Brynn, Raegan, Reese, Camreigh, Ava and Abbi.
