He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldo and Madeline; his wife Patricia; and his granddaughter Darla. He is survived by: his children, Christine G. Bertolas and Paul W. Bertolas (Sheila); his grandson David M. Florence (Corey); and his siblings, William and Margaret Meyers (Ron). He is also survived by many other nieces, cousins, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wildlife In Need Center in honor of Dave's love for birds.
