David F. Howden Obituary
Passed away after a short visit at AngelsGrace Hospice on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife Aleta of 14 years; his step son Tim (Nicole) Meyer and their kids Angelica, Logan, Roberta, and Jerry; and his sister Sara "Sandy" (John) Denother. Preceded in death by his parents Lyla and Edward Howden, his brother Douglas Schoenfeld, his sister-in-law Carolyn Schoenfeld, and nephew John Schoenfeld.Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
At age 18, Sam and his brother Douglas Schoenfeld began operating Howden Service which later became Lake & Country Tire. He retired in 2011. He was an avid hunter of waterfowl and upland game and was in his element walking in the woods and fields with his dogs. He collected antique duck decoys and enjoyed meeting other collectors at decoy shows.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 12 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, N50 W35181 E Wisconsin Ave, Okauchee. Private family burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Memorials to the church are appreciated.
