He was predeceased by: his parents, Desmond E. Laabs and Lucile A. Laabs; and his siblings, Donna Laabs, Mary Laabs and Jerry Laabs.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Klauer (Chad), Cindy Laabs, Chuck Laabs, Chad Laabs and Cory Laabs (Erika); his grandchildren, Adam Harpster (Tracey), Ben Harpster, Brett Laabs (Felicia), C. J. Harpster (Lauren), Emma Laabs, Sarah Laabs, Desmond Laabs and Maddie Klauer; his great grandchild Aubrey Husfeldt-Laabs; and his siblings, Joan Evans, Rose Laabs, Jim Laabs (Joan), Bill Laabs and Ken Laabs (Jodee).
