Carol L. Pfitzinger Obituary

Carol Lee Pfitzinger (Boldt), loving wife, mother, Nana, great grandma/Nana, cousin, and lifelong friend to all, died peacefully at ProHealth AngelsGrace Hospice on June 18th, 2024, at the age of 86, after her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born October 26, 1937, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the only child of Carl and Sylvia Boldt. She married Arthur Pfitzinger over 62 years ago, sharing in their love of travel, living in beautiful places, and overall providing the best for their four children.

Carol attended and graduated from Holy Angels Academy. Furthering her education, she attended Mt. Mary College and graduated from Prospect Hall. She had many fond memories of her childhood. Her undying enthusiasm for dancing and piano started early on. At the age of 3 she performed a solo at the Washington Park Bandshell on the 4th of July. She shared that love of music and musicals with her family throughout her life, creating many special memories. Her uncle Norman would take her to the Old English Room at the Pfister Hotel every other week and then they'd go shopping downtown. There began her enjoyment of the finer things in life and her talent for being an amazing shopper and gift giver.

Carol had a community of family and friends who adored her. She found joy in family traditions (especially Christmas), celebrations, and cooking delicious dishes with love. She made a lifelong impact on everyone she encountered. Her commitment to family, friends, and community was always evident in her faithful support, advice, and time spent rallying behind their pursuits. For everyone that knew her, no gathering was complete without Nana or the special treats that would accompany her (notably her famous Jello, which was always a crowd favorite). Her love of flowers was always apparent whether they be adoring her yard and patio or inside around her home.

Carol served her community by sharing her time, talents, and treasures. Some of her most notable including President of the Parents Board of Directors for Marquette University, peeling apples at the ULS Barn sale, spending time with patients at ProHealth AngelsGrace, and being an IKE girl in the 50's. She was also very active in her long-time church, St. Catherine's of Alexandria Parish. She believed, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.". John 3:16.

Carol is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, Rick (Cordia Strom) Pfitzinger, Brian (Mary Jo) Pfitzinger, David (Mimi) Pfitzinger, Julie Eckhardt; four grandchildren: Susan (Henry) Vosters, Brandon (Suzy) Pfitzinger, Jill Pfitzinger, Nathan Eckhardt; two great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Parker Vosters; and her beloved dog Cookie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Silvia Boldt, and her grandchild, Levi Eckhardt.

Carol said it best in her parting thoughts, "I've been a Nana for 33 years and nobody could ask for a more wonderful family and so many great friends.". "God bless you all. I'll see you again in Heaven. Just remember I'll always be with you cheering you on. Love and Hugs, Nana.".

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 21st, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
