He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Nicholson and Hilding Nicholson; his wife Gwendolyn Tessmann; his children, Brent (Marge Nicholson), Mark (Paula Nicholson) and Kirsten (Dave Walker); his grandchildren, Natasha Cherry (Joshua), Jessica Oates (Patrick), Sara Nicholson (Peter), Hanna Pralle (Stephen), Chenelle Walker, Aaron Nicholson and Keenan Walker; his great grandchildren, Graysen and Myles Oates; his sister-in-law Patricia Nicholson; and his siblings, Gary Nicholson and Karen Nicholson.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
