Alice J. Mikulice Obituary
Alice was born in a farmhouse on Brown Street, just outside of Oconomowoc. She was the daughter of Dorothy Leitzke and Dean Nagle. The mother of 5 sons, Thomas, Ronald, Michael (Linda), Daniel and Russell (deceased). Grandmother of Barton, Shane, Mathew, David, Bradley, Hannah and Janelle. Great grandmother of Hayden, Shaelyn, Nova and Zelda. Sister of Carol, Sharon, Deanna, Dean, Allen, all deceased and Dale.
As a teen, she spent her evenings and summers babysitting, getting ready for her role in life. She enjoyed baking and cooking, wrote a Cookbook with 50 years of recipes the she had refined over the years. Refurbished many old farmhouses. Was an avid gardener who grew Begonia's her favorite flower, which was also her grandmother's Ada Mae Thorpe, who was her linage to the Mayflower. She loved making clothes for herself and her offspring, later started quilting and had sewn many quilts and wall hanging quilts. Furthered her education, classes at UC, San Marcos and WTCI, Pewaukee, WI. During her working years she was an Avon Lady, dress shop owner, Realtor, and did secretarial work. She retired from Excalibur Insurance Agency.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 26, 2023 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home 121 S. Cross St. Oconomowoc from 10am until time of service at 11am. Interment at LaBelle Cemetery will follow.
