He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Maurer and Cecilia Maurer; and his mother-in-law Mary Ann Burkhardt. He is survived by: his wife Susan Maurer; his sons, Adam Maurer, Jeremy Maurer and Luke Maurer; his siblings, Chris Maurer, Doug Maurer (Carol), Mary Maurer-Kirk (Danny), Amy Burns (Jim), Stephen Maurer (Karen), Pete Maurer (Sheila), Charles Maurer (Donna), Anna Richlen (Jeff) and Julie Maurer (Angela); his father-in-law Richard Burkhart; and his sister-in-law Laurie Straehler (David). He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends and coworkers.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (305 S 1st St, Waterford, WI 53185). A Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
