He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane I. Widmer; his children, Jacob Widmer (Libbie Pribek) and Sarah Widmer; his parents, William Widmer and Sandra Widmer; and his siblings, Brian Widmer, Curtis Widmer (Catherine) and Linda Schloer (Anthony). He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Make a Wish of Wisconsin.
