He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stone and Gladys Stone (Coffey); and his siblings, Jerry Stone, Thomas Stone, Billy Stone, Geraldine Stone and Sharon Kay Stone.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Divona Stone; his sons, Michael D. Stone and Jason A. Stone (Beth Stone); and his grandchildren, Evana Angeline Stone, Samuel James Stone and Selena Grace Stone.
