He is survived by: his mother Julia Checkai; his wife Betsy Checkai; his children, Jessica Piquett (Sean) and Brandan Checkai (Ashley Thorpe); his grandchildren, Bennett, Maverick, Elsie Piquett and Eli Checkai; and also Julie Checkai.
