He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mainland and Helen Mainland. He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Melter; his children, Michael Mainland (Geri), Mary Lovdahl (Peter), Jeffrey Mainland (Rebecca Pettit) and Lisa Medendorp (Keith); and his siblings, Marian Johnston (Richard), Jean Olsen (Delbert) and Robert. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nephew and niece, family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Oak Creek, or the Racine and Caledonia K9 division.
