He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Schmidt and Mary Schmidt; and his brother Kurt. He is survived by: his sons, Alexander (Kalie) and Samuel; his siblings, Sandy Johnston (Craig), Jeff (Pat) and Karin Nowak (Frank); and his grandchild Rudder.
