He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Marten and Lena Marten (Nauman); his wife Darlene Tessier of John's Lutheran Church; his daughter-in-law Erin Marten; and his brothers, Glen (Luann Marten) and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas, Jim of Norwalk, Roger of Tomah, Elizabeth "Beth" of Norwalk, Sarah Courey (Jim) of Waco, TX and Russell of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Tabatha Howell (Silas), Tristan Becherer, Mikayla Becherer, Anna Courey and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Westin and Aurora. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home (801 E Monowau St, Tomah, WI 54660). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery-Ridgeville.
