She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Hinz and Martha Hinz (Apker); her husband Duane C. Gerke; and her granddaughter Sarah Dobbs. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Bengtson (Tyson) of Wonewoc and Shawn Gerke (Tammy) of Whitewater; and her grandchildren, Alicia Steinfadt (Michael), Jacob Dobbs, Emily Magana (Ernesto) and Josh LaBelle. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
