He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Koeppel and Anna Koeppel (Gess). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smith; his children, Gary Koeppel (Brenda) of Canaan and Tracy Pelletier (Jeff) of Bristol; his granddaughter Nicole Pelletier; his sister Shirley Smith; his sister-in-law June Koeppel of Ft. Atkinson; and his brothers, Merle and Lyle Koeppel. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
