He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Miller and Joan P. Miller (Mehmen); his parents-in-law, Ron and Judy Churchill; and his brother-in-law Keith Churchill.

He is survived by: his wife Kim of North Freedom; his son Zachary Miller of Portage; his siblings, James Miller (Tammy) of Aplington, Iowa and Jolene Thorne (Joe) of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and his parents-in-law, Kevin Churchill (Sandy) of Reedsburg, Kristi Brown (Jim) of Reedsburg, Kory Churchill (Amy) of Reedsburg and Kellie Churchill of Reedsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
