She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Haywood and Violet Miller (Boyd Haywood); her husband Orville Vertein; her brother Don Haywood; her parents-in-law, Walter and Florence Vertein; her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Endres, Janet Vertein, Verllyn Vertein and Paul Endres; and her pet Miley.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Mueller (Greg), Kim Towey (Lee), Vicki Zerbel (Gordon), Mark Vertein (Lee Ann) and Brian Vertein; her grandchildren, Brett Mueller (April Hughes), Drew Towey, Paige Towey (Amanda Capps), Ryan Vertein (Megan), Ross Vertein, Rose Vertein and Esther Vertein; her great grandchild Olivia Vertein; her sister Barbara Dolezal (Bob); and her siblings-in-law, Russell Vertein, Shirley Vertein and Barbara Haywood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
