Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Guell and Irene Guell; his parents-in-law, Arnold and Kate Nelson; his siblings, Jack and Diane Guell; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Bonnell, Ed Brumley and Janet Guell.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Nelson; his daughter Sarah Steenberg (Chad); his grandchildren, Grace and Reed; his siblings, Bill Guell, Betty Brumley and Kate Porter (Scott); his in-laws, Sharon, Jim Smith, Anna Nelson and Nancy Guell; and his pets, Willow and Pepper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, and many special friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home (524 N Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI 54935). The military honors was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
