He was predeceased by: his parents, Eckhardt Proefrock and Edna Proefrock (Beiswanger). He is survived by: his children, Kristen Banach (Christopher), Pamela Turton (John) and James Proefrock (Melanie); his siblings, Gerald Proefrock (Doris) and Jean Hein (late Randy); his grandchildren, Greg Boudreau, Connor Proefrock, Griffin Proefrock and Tanner Proefrock; and his close friend Cathy Sonnen.
