He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Elkin and Nina Elkin; and his siblings, John Elkin, Elaine Stecker and Betty Dufresne.
He is survived by: his spouse Corrinne Hagen; his children, Jeffrey Elkin (Karen), John Elkin (Vickie), Jacki Aldous (Mark) and James Elkin, Jr. (Jackie); his grandchildren, Brandt Elkin (Kim), Tim Elkin (Ashley), Kelsey Kroening (Jason), Chad Aldous, Nicholette Rogers, Brittanna Rogers, James Elkin III, Kyle Elkin and Kaylynn Elkin; his great grandchildren, Bentley and Kendall Kroening; and his sister Nila Rae McGregor (Jim).
