He is survived by: his wife Winifred "Winnie" Gehring; his daughter Kimberly Bernfeld (Christopher); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Elaine and Ryan Christopher Bernfeld; his sisters, Beverly Gehring and Barbara Berner (James); and his siblings-in-law, Millie, June, Naomi and Rick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Twin Lakes Rescue Squad or the Town of Randall Fire Department would be greatly appreciated.
