He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Bartelt; and his brother Mike Bartelt. He is survived by: his spouse Tina Marie Massey; his children, Trisha Krake (Scott), Gregory Bartelt (Kelly), Kimberly Catarino (Emilio), David Bartelt (Stephanie) and Cordell Bartelt; his stepdaughters, Jillian Amador and Trista Jo Blank (Andrew); his siblings, Carl, Charles (Tina), John (Kim) and Tom Bartelt (Donna); his sister-in-law Robin Bartelt; his godchildren, Jackie Janke, James Tesch and Zachary Abel; and his aunt Joannie Nytes. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
